USAGOLD note: It’s never been a question of direction with respect to Fed policy, but to what degree. Will the Fed raise rates to a level high enough to contain inflation? All else is just political posturing, in our view…… Even so, serious malfunctions could occur in the credit system even if the Fed stays behind the curve, raising the prospect of an early pivot.
